Plot
DeepakTyagi lost his wife and has been residing with his sons in Shimla. Deepak is a dementia patient and forgets his daughters-in-law, often. When he wants to donate his house to a trust in memory of his wife, his sons are against his wishes. They use his dementia to their favour and take him to Varanasi and leave him there. After returning home, they tell everyone that their father passed away. The dementia-affected Deepak meets Veeru and his accomplice, Papu. Veeru steals from the tourists with Papu’s help. Veeru loves Meena, and her aunt gives Veeru a task if he leaves Deepak at home, he can marry Meena. Was Veeru able to accomplish the target and marry Meena? The rest of the film speaks about the emotional ride of Deepak and Veeru.
Star Performance
Nana Patekar played his part well. Paritosh’s performance is pretty decent. He excelled in the emotional scenes. Utkarsh Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Mushtaq Khan, Manish Vadhwa, and Simrat Kaur did what was required of them. Khushbu appears in a short role.
Analysis
Anil Sharma’s story is good and heart-warming while on the paper. However, the execution was not much impressive. The characters are not given enough depth. The dialects are not taught to the stars well, and they suffer in delivering it. Moreover, the film lacks a modern way of storytelling. Rajpal Yadav’s role is a typecast. The director should’ve picked someone else for his role. The film may appeal well to people who love to be with their family forever.
